Judith Shelton
Principal
Judith Shelton is the founder and principal of Shelton Taylor + Associates.
Prior to launching the firm, Judith was the Vice President of Design Development for Krupp Realty in Boston, Massachusetts, transforming close to 100 properties for the company during her tenure. This corporate background equipped Judith with an extensive depth of experience in working with architects, engineers, and management specialists, while also providing invaluable insight into project management and financial constraints for both new builds and renovations.
During Judith’s successful career at Krupp, she identified an opportunity to leverage her knowledge and skill to impact the development of multi-unit residential properties. In 1991 Judith launched Shelton Taylor + Associates and has steadily grown her firm into an industry-leading team of talented interior designers.
Judith remains at the forefront of the design process for Shelton Taylor + Associates multi-family projects while maintaining a high-end residential client base.

Katherine Hawks, RID
VP of Design Development
Katherine works with large scale, new development multifamily projects and has experience with all aspects of the interior design process including programming, creating design plans, construction administration, contract administration and FF+E procurement. She also collaborates with project design consultants ranging from architects to marketing teams.
As VP of Design Development, she oversees the company’s projects and is responsible for consistency in streamlining the design, implementation, and execution processes.

Maggie Higley, RID
Interior Designer
Maggie has been a part of the Shelton Taylor team since 2015, gaining experience in almost every facet of the design and procurement process along the way. She has held roles such as Purchasing Manager, Design Assistant, and now Lead Designer which has afforded her a well-rounded set of skills.
As Lead Designer, Maggie selects and coordinates finish materials, fixtures, and furnishings for amenity spaces and units, as well as outdoor areas at each property. Caroline joined the multifamily sector of design when she joined Shelton Taylor in mid-2022. Her role as a project manager and designer includes preliminary programming, creating construction documents, designing furniture presentations, and creating 3D interior renderings. Her favorite activity in the design process is space planning.

Hannah Crews
Interior Designer
Hannah joined the Shelton Taylor team as an Assistant Designer in March of 2022. She works with the design team to develop design ideas, select fixtures and finishes, develop preliminary space plans, pull together FF+E packages, create 3D renderings and digital presentation boards.
Hannah has a passion for art and caring for others. It was her love for art classes early on when she realized she could utilize both of these passions in the career field of Interior Design.
Education: Bachelor Degree in Interior Architecture – a CIDA accredited program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, 2021

Kristine Culicerto
Operations Manager
Kristine joined the Shelton Taylor team as the operations manager in May of 2022. As a vital part of the team, she coordinates receiving and delivery with the corresponding warehouses, interacts with sales representatives, generates purchases orders and organizes/executes installations.
Her previous 6-year experience as an operations manager/customer service representative stemmed from a retail plumbing company where she learned customer service, plumbing technicalities, and international/domestic logistical tactics.
Education: Bachelor Degree in Marketing – Marshall University 2015

Julia Connolly
Interior Designer
Julia joined the Shelton Taylor team in April 2025, transitioning into the multifamily design sector as a designer. In her role, she develops design concepts and brings them to life through thoughtful finish and fixture selections, 3D renderings, and construction documentation. Her favorite part of the process is curating cohesive, visually compelling finish palettes and translating ideas into realistic renderings.
Julia began her career in workplace design, completing internships in San Diego, California, in the summer of 2023 and in Charlotte, North Carolina following her graduation in 2024. Since joining STA, she has discovered a strong passion for creating distinctive spaces that people are proud to call home. With a lifelong creative mindset, Julia knew from an early age that interior design was the career she wanted to pursue.

Known for her adaptability, Kheng readily steps in to solve challenges and keep projects moving forward.
A collaborative team player, Kheng enjoys working closely with clients, contractors, and fellow designers to ensure each project reflects a shared vision. She draws inspiration from fashion trends, global culture, and everyday moments, bringing fresh perspective to her work. Her experience spans high-end residential interiors in Europe as well as luxury commercial and dental projects in the United States, with multifamily design serving as a natural intersection of both worlds.
As a lead designer, Nina is engaged in every phase of the design process, from early programming and construction documentation to furniture presentations and detailed 3D interior renderings.

Braxton Bone
Chief Financial Officer
Braxton joined Shelton Taylor + Associates in July 2023 after spending 17.5 years in Lakeland, Florida, developing shopping centers and managing a portfolio of 30–40 commercial properties. His background in real estate development and portfolio management gives him a unique understanding of how design decisions intersect with financing, operations, and long-term asset value.
At Shelton Taylor, Braxton oversees accounting and finance and is frequently pulled into IT, legal, and overall business strategy and operations. He loves refining systems, building better workflows, and assisting the team make complex decisions with clarity and confidence. His role is equal parts numbers, problem-solving, and supporting the Design Team so they can focus on doing their best creative work.
The founder of Shelton Taylor + Associates also happens to be his mother, Judy, who eventually convinced this self-professed finance nerd that there was a place for him inside an interior design firm. Working alongside the firm’s talented design team has become one of the most unexpectedly fun and gratifying chapters of his career.
Education: B.B.A. in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia
